Students in the Wilson Elementary Book Club will read books aloud for museum guests to enjoy.
 
Feb. 24 (Sat) – Gardopia Gardens and Big Green Learning Garden grant kick-off
11 a.m. to noon, Madison Elementary, 2900 W. Woodlawn Ave., 78228
Gardopia Gardens and Big Green will announce a joint investment of $250,000 to boost school garden initiatives at 22 SAISD schools. During this kick-off workshop, educators from the recipient schools will cultivate a garden, gaining hands-on experience building and teaching in a Learning Garden and empowering them to lead their own garden kick-off activities at their own campuses.
 
Feb. 26 (Mon) – Head Start “ReadyRosie Rock Star” award presentation

The City of San Antonio Head Start department will surprise one class from Tynan Early Childhood Education Center with a “ReadyRosie Rock Star” award. Rocio Ramirez and her students will be presented with the “Top Class with the Top Views” prize for parents watching the most ReadyRosie parenting videos out of all Head Start families in SAISD.
 
March 1 (Sat) – Highland Hills Elementary Student Signing Day
11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Highlands Hills Elementary, 734 Glamis, 78223
Highlands Hills Elementary will open school registration season with a special “Signing Day” on campus. Similar to the fanfare of high school athletes announcing their chosen colleges, elementary students will sign on to join the Highland Hills Eagles familia in a high-energy scene.
