WHAT: As part of Teacher Appreciation Week, San Antonio ISD is recognizing its Campus Teachers of the Year at a district-wide celebration of teaching excellence. A total of 79 teachers will be honored. SAISD will also crown the district-level Distinguished Teachers of the Year for elementary, middle school and high school categories.

MORE: The Teacher of the Year award honors teachers who have been in the profession for at least three years and who excel in academic success, school leadership, and service to the school community. Each school’s Teacher of the Year was selected by a vote of his or her peers.
