San Antonio ISD’s Curriculum and Instruction Early Childhood Department, in partnership with the City of San Antonio, is now accepting applications for its Full Day Head Start program for Pre-K for children who are ages 3 or 4 by Sept. 1.
Parents can help set the stage for their child’s future with the Head Start program which offers a strong academic learning environment and a variety of family-friendly support services, including meal services (free breakfast, lunch and snack); dual language (bilingual and English classes); special education services; free school supplies; and family support services.
Families may apply for the program in person on the following dates:

Wednesday, July 2, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., City of SA Head Start Offices, 1227 Brady/78207

Saturday, July 12, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., City of SA Head Start Offices, 1227 Brady/78207
•
Wednesday, July 16, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Ball Elementary, 343 Koehler Ct./78223

Tuesday, July 22, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m., Hillcrest Elementary Library, 211 W. Malone/78214

If families cannot attend the summer application events, they may call the SAISD Early Childhood Department at 210-554-2410. Applications are accepted year-round; however, families are encouraged to enroll their children for the fall.
Documents required to apply include child’s proof of age; child’s social security card (if applicable); child’s immunization record; parent/guardian photo I.D.; proof of family income; and proof of residence. For more information, applicants may visit www.saisd.net/earlychildhood.
