Disabilities Services: Social Worker Support
Support services provided by Disability Services - Social Workers, were launched in response to the unique concerns and needs of parents and guardians of children with a disability and receiving special education services.
These services are designed to:
- Address issues at school, home, and in the community that impact the needs of a child with a disability and their family.
- Provide parents with the knowledge and tools to help their child succeed in school and in the community.
- Help parents and guardians identify and connect with specific community agencies designed to assist children with special needs.
- Inform parents of in-district and city-wide educational workshops
