Feb. 13 (Tues) – High school construction students build beds for children who don't have them 
9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Sam Houston High School, 4635 E. Houston St., 78220
The Sam Houston High School Construction Program will work with the volunteer organization Sleep in Heavenly Peace to construct 20 twin size beds. The volunteer organization will then donate the finished beds to children in the community, who do not currently have beds at home. Feb. 14 (Wed) – Burbank High School Cowboy Breakfast
6 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., Burbank High School, 1002 Edwards St., 78204
The community is invited to celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Burbank High School's annual Cowboy Breakfast. Participants will usher in rodeo season with free breakfast tacos prepared by Burbank's culinary students, while enjoying performances by the Burbank mariachi and folklorico dancers. The Burbank FFA will also set up animal pens to show off livestock from their farm.
 
Feb. 15 (Thurs) – Pilot Flying J donates $10,000 to Sam Houston High School Construction Program
9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Flying J #737, 1815 N Foster Rd., 78244
Pilot Flying J will present a $10,000 check to the Sam Houston High School Construction program. The funds will go toward the purchase of safety equipment for the construction students.
