Mike Pinon, Grounds Coordinator, Sports Complex

Mike has the overall responsibility for maintenance of SAISD's Sports Complex. He came to the Athletic Office in 1998. Previously, he served an apprenticeship as a superintendent at the La Cantera Golf Course. He is married to Edna and has two sons, Michael and Matthew. While not working, he plays golf, rides horses, and loves "cook-offs."

Roderick Jimenez, Groundskeeper II, Sports Complex

Roderick helps to maintain all fields and equipment at the Sports Complex. He was previously a groundskeeper for the city of San Antonio and joined the Sports Complex crew in 2014. Roderick and his wife Norma Jean have four kids. His relaxation is watching football on Sundays.

Javier Gutierrez, Groundskeeper II, Alamo Stadium

Javier helps maintain Alamo Stadium and the Alamo Convocation Center. He is married to Karen and has five children. While not working, Javier does landscaping and yard work.

Federico Flores, Groundskeeper I, Alamo Convocation Center (ACC)

Federico helps keep the grounds and facilities clean at Alamo Stadium and at the Alamo Convocation Center. He and his wife, Maria Concepcion, have three children, two girls, one boy, a grandson and Rocky, their big dog. In his spare time, he likes to rest and be with his family.

Benjamin Castro-Long, Groundskeeper II, Sports Complex

Before joining SAISD, Benjamin worked for Northside ISD for 5 years. On his down time, Benjamin enjoys spending time with his sons Alekzander and Dominnik. When he is not playing with his sons, he enjoys barbequing and watching his favorite NFL team the Houston Texans.

Ryan Koltermann, Groundskeeper II, Sports Complex

Ryan is married to his wife Megan and together they have two children (Daughter Hadley and son Grayson). Outside of work he enjoys raising show pigs and working on their family produce.

Jose Nieves, Groundskeeper II, Sports Complex

Jose was born and raised in Puerto Rico. After graduating High School and receiving an Associates Degree at the John Dewey College he proceeded to work for The Puerto Rico Highway Authority from 1995 to 2014. Jose moved to San Antonio, Texas in 2014 and since then has been working as an Athletic Groundkeeper. My wife is a teacher and we have three children. His son is a service member of the Air Force. His eldest daughter attends Texas A&M University- Corpus Christi and his youngest daughter is still in elementary school.

Pat Martinez, Custodian, Alamo Stadium

Pat started working at Alamo Stadium in 2011. She is a custodian and maintains the cleanliness of Alamo Stadium and the Alamo Convocation Center. Pat is married to Arturo and has two daughters and three grandchildren. While not working, she likes working in her yard and spending time with her family during her time off.
