Shauna Salinas, Executive Secretary, Department

Shauna has been employed with SAISD since 1984, starting out at the Payroll Department for thirteen years, then working two and one-half years in the Student Support Network. She came to the Athletic Office in 1999 and works for Todd Howey, Senior Executive Director of Athletics. Shauna and her husband, Joe Salinas, have two boys, Michael and Christopher. She loves spending time at the beach with her family and friends.

Star has been working part time with the SAISD Athletic Office since August 2005. She became full time in 2012 and works for Brian Clancy, Athletic Director who oversees Football, Baseball, and Softball. Star has two children Paul and River. 

Vanessa is the Department Clerk for the San Antonio ISD Athletic Department.  She supports Mr. Jerry Gonzalez who oversees Basketball, Tennis, Facility Rentals and Grounds crew/Custodial.

She is married to Domingo Rodriguez. They have two children. Ginobili who is 16 and is part of the “Mighty Mustang Band,” and also in the Golf and Baseball teams. In addition, Trinity who is two is her brother’s biggest fan.

On Vanessa’s off time she enjoys spending time with her family.

Elizabeth was born and raised in San Antonio and attended SAISD schools, graduating from Brackenridge High School in 2006.

She started working for SAISD in 2011 with Special Education and in 2015 she started with the Athletics Department as a Part-time clerk and was hired as a Full-time employee in 2017“Liz is married to James Cordaway, Jr., who is also an employee with SAISD. They currently have three children: James, George, and Bella, all of whom attend SAISD schools. During her free time, she enjoys working on her garden and having BBQ’s with her family.

Kathleen started with the Athletic Office as secretary to the Athletic Director in 1962 (yes, 1962) and after 35 years, retired in 1997. She stayed with the office, helping out part-time. After work, she usually can be found either rehearsing for a show or being in a show for the local theatre community.

Adriana is a 2005 Highlands High School graduate. She spent 13yrs working in the Hospitality Industry before her employment with the Athletics Department in 2018.

Adriana and her husband Abel Valdez have a blended family with 5 childeren. They welcomed their first child together in 2021 making him the baby of the bunch. Aside from attending her kids sporting events , she enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach or a river and having barbecue's.
