The starting ceremonies will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Martin Luther King Jr. Academy located at 3501 Martin Luther King Dr, San Antonio, TX, 78203. March step-off will follow the opening commemoration ceremonies. Look for the San Antonio ISD Banner along Martin Luther King Drive to join us for step-off.

The march route is 2.75 miles in length.

Due to the large number of people projected to attend, we ask families to utilize free transportation services provided by VIA Metropolitan Transit Services from St. Phillip’s College, 1801 Martin Luther King Dr., 78203 (Lot 22), and the Freeman Coliseum 3201 E. Houston St., 78219 (Lot 1). Free transportation to the march will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Return service following the march will occur from noon to 3:00 p.m. from Pittman Sullivan Park, 1101 Iowa St., 78203

Families are encouraged to represent their campus by wearing their campus shirts or colors. Dressing for comfort and weather is encouraged as the event is outdoors.

Families can create signage commemorating the march theme and message of Dr. King.
