The purpose of the SAISD Children's Cabinet is to bring together a diverse group of students, parents, educators, community members, and national leaders to help San Antonio ISD create the conditions for all students to thrive.

The role of the Children's Cabinet is to:

• The Cabinet would serve as a think tank that fosters two-way communication, helping us improve our work on behalf of our students. Through dialogue, we can make better decisions that truly benefit our students.
• The Cabinet would champion the district’s agenda and ensure continuity in our direction, even if leadership changes occur.
• The Cabinet would become ambassadors for the district, advocating for our work at the local, state, and national levels.

The Cabinet has representation from all 7 SAISD trustee districts, local citizens from outside SAISD, and guests from Texas and across the country.

Past MeetingsOur mission in SAISD is to transform the District into a national model urban school district where every child graduates and is educated so that he or she is prepared to be a contributing member of the community. Getting there will take the participation and support of our communities – our partners – from parents and grandparents to business leaders and elected officials.
