SAISD is committed to providing multiple avenues and ongoing support for professional growth for our instructional staff. Below is an overview of graduate programs and leadership programs available to teachers, educators and leaders in our District. Click on the University links below to see instructions on applying.
SAISD will provide full tuition coverage for the graduate programs.
Participants will be responsible for the application fee, student fees and textbooks every semester.
Commitment: Individuals selected agree to diligently pursue and obtain a Master’s degree while continuing full-time employment with SAISD. Upon completion of the degree, participants agree to remain in SAISD for 3 consecutive, complete academic years.

Tracks available: Special Populations - SPED; Reading & Literacy
Eligible staff: Teachers with 2+ years of experience
Duration: 36-hours (2 years)
Class-time: 2 courses/semester. Classes meet once/week for 2.75 hours @ OLLU
Graduate Admission Deadline: July 1st

Tracks available: Reading with Reading Specialist and Master Reading Teacher Certification
Eligible staff: Teachers with 2+ years of experience
Duration: 36-hours (2 years)
Class-time: 2 courses/semester (8 wks each). Classes meet once/week for 2.5 hours at an SAISD location
Graduate Admission Deadline: July 15th

Tracks available: Bi-cultural-Bilingual Education
Eligible staff: Teachers with 2+ years of experience; Must speak Spanish
Duration: 30-hours (2 years), starting in Summer/Fall
Class-time: Classes meet once/week for 2.75 hours at SAISD location (summer classes are held at UTSA DT campus)
