Dear SAISD Family Member,
 
We hope you are experiencing a “Fantastic Friday.”
 
In today’s message, I shared that we are taking a bold and courageous compensation plan for substitute teachers to our Board of Trustees at Monday’s Nov. 15 Board Meeting. We are extremely hopeful that this plan will support the need for placing highly qualified, certified substitutes in our classrooms for the second semester of this school year. If approved by the Board of Trustees, this initiative will begin on Jan. 11, 2022. 
 
David Starr Jordan once stated; “Today is your day and mine, the only day we have, the day in which we play our part. What our part may signify in the great whole we may not understand. But we are here to play it, and now is the time.”
 
On behalf of our Board of Trustees and the entire SAISD, thank you for your excellence and for your commitment to making every moment count in the lives of our students and in the lives of each other.
