To All SAISD Staff:

 
Last night, our Board of Trustees demonstrated their support for staff members with their approval of employee compensation for the upcoming school year. Even in difficult financial times for the district, the Trustees expressed how much they valued all of you and showed their appreciation by voting for a general pay increase, while also approving substitute pay rates and increasing part-time rates. The difficult financial outlook that we foresee over the next few years led the district to recommend a 2% raise for all full-time staff. We, like the Trustees, wanted this increase to be higher, and we appreciate the solution and compromise the Trustees put forth. We are fortunate that our Board leadership is dedicated to ensuring our staff feel appreciated, while also keeping in mind the future financial stability of the district.
 
Please know that we will continue to hold budget workshops and address the budget in future board meetings through the month of June. A budget website has been created so that staff, families, and community members can easily participate in the process. Your voices are very important and we want to hear from you!
