Today, we herald the inclusiveness of the Supreme Court’s decision to uphold DACA. Hundreds of thousands of young DREAMers right now are hearing words of affirmation – that the country to which they daily contribute can continue to be the one they call home. We celebrate and embrace the joy they must be feeling.

We also realize this landmark decision is just one step in addressing the systemic injustice within our nation and institutions. We must continue to push for justice for all people – allowing them to live freely and safely. This includes urging Congress to come together in a bipartisan effort to create a permanent path to citizenship for immigrants brought to our country as children. This also includes safeguarding citizens of color from bias and abuse.

The time is now to work together so that our society protects all of its own. We believe the “United” in the United States is more than just a name, but a value we hold dear and must forever defend.
