Campus Advisory Council (CAC) provides for campus-level planning and site-based decision-making, aimed at improving student performance for all students. The council establishes and reviews the goals, performance objectives and major classroom instructional programs. District staff, parents, community members and business representatives come together at least twice per year to provide input, information and recommendations to the Superintendent. Additional meetings may be called at the discretion of the campus principal. District staff must be nominated and elected to serve on the DAC; non-staff are selected in accordance with board policy and administrative regulations. Each campus is encouraged to hold monthly meetings between September and May.
Campuses that are partnered with an 1882 partner must have campus-level planning groups that focus on similar topics as the CAC, but there are different requirements for 1882 campuses. To find out more information about the CAC or the 1882 campus committees, please contact the campus principal.
